Tournament info:

Zarasai Open’2011 (3rd tournament of BST’2011)
Short description:
NEDOŽINKA DISC GOLF PARK is situated near Zarasai, about 10 km northeast of Zarasai town. It is the only permanent discgolf park in Lithuania, established in 2003.

Divisions:
• MPO (obligatory for male players age 17 to 49),
• MA2 (juniors <16 (born 1995 or later), grandmasters >50 (born 1961 or earlier) and female players).

Player`s fee (paid on site before tournament):
• MPO – 15 Eur (55 Lt)
• MA2 – 5 Eur (20 Lt)

Dress code: Please follow PDGA rules regarding dress code.

Course & Equipment: private park, 9 holes (will be extended to 12 holes for the tournament), homemade baskets with double chains (similar to amex 1).
Holes lengths are between 45 to 180 meters.

Prizes:
There is no money purse, Trophy only.
First three places in both divisions get trophies.

BST points: The tournament is part of Baltic Sea Tour and all participants are awarded with BST points which count for overall BST standing.

Tournament format:

3 rounds of 18 holes + 9 holes final (MPO only)
1st round – random mix of player (both divisions play together)
2nd round – players grouped by results of 1st round (both divisions play together)
3rd round – players grouped by total result of 1st and 2nd rounds and by divisions

Final – top5 MPO (9 holes)
In case of tie after 3 rounds for top5 (finalists), tie after final for trophies and tie in Amateur division for trophies (top3 players) sudden death competition will be played among tied players on holes # 1, 2, 3. If it is still a tie – CTP on hole #1.

Registration has ended. Player is registered when his/her name appears on official website. See you in the tournament!

Cancellation deadline: in order to avoid Sanctions (see bellow) you have to cancel not later than 4th June. To cancel simply send an e-mail to TD Darius Gricius (darosg [at] gmail.com). Your cancellation is approved when your name is removed from official website. Players with later notice can be released from Sanctions only because of legally validated health related problems and only by BST board decision.

Sanctions: Players, who register to the tournament, don’t cancel and don’t come to the tournament pay 15 EUR penalty before playing next BST tournament.

Tournament size: maximum number of players – 60. In case of more players registered waiting list will be established.

DRIVING ISTRUCTIONS from Vilnius (The driving time to Vilnius is about 2 hours and distance about 160 km): Take Utena road; pass Utena from the right following signs to Zarasai. In the centre of Zarasai pass church and turn to left following signs to Rokiškis. Go straight 5km and then turn to the right following signs Suviekas 13, go straight 4km and 200 m and turn to right you see brown house.

If you come from Panevežys or Rokiškis, you must turn to left 5 km to Zarasai, the following signs Suviekas 13 and go straight 4km and 200 m and turn to right you see brown house.
If you come from Daugavpils (LV) – in the centre of Zarasai turn right before the church and follow signs to Rokiškis. Go straight 5km and then turn to the right following signs Suviekas 13, go straight 4km and 200 m and turn to right you see brown house.

Transportation:

If you are flying to Vilnius – let us know when registering, and we‘ll try to arrange transportation to Zarasai (Friday night, or early Saturday; preliminary cost – 15 EUR return journey).

We plan to have transportation to Zarasai on Saturday night (after grill party) and from Zarasai on Sunday morning – please indicate when registering (price – 2 EUR/person, one trip).
